Raigarh. A member of the gang who tried to rob Gramin Bank Kapu has been caught. Police said that there was an attempt of theft by unknown thieves in Gramin Bank Kapu under Kapu area on the intervening night of May 26 to 29, the accused entered inside by breaking the wall near the window of the bank and tried to steal money by breaking open the almirah of the bank. In which they failed, on which they stole the DVR setup box of the bank. On May 29, on behalf of the bank management, an application was lodged at Kapu police station and a report of embezzlement was lodged. Taking the bank burglary attempt seriously, SSP Sadanand Kumar immediately formed a joint team of Dharamjaygarh subdivision and cyber cell under the supervision of SDOP Dharamjaygarh Deepak Mishra and arrested the unknown accused. The police team started arresting and interrogating the suspects from Kapu area in a systematic way, in which clues were found of Hast Banjara of village Sakola and his associates committing burglary in the Gramin Bank, immediately the police team engaged in the arrest of Hast Banjara and his associates. All the suspects were found absconding from the village. The police activated their informers and engaged them to give information about the wanted suspects in the Kapu Gramin Bank extortion incident and on which the police team got success in catching an absconding suspect who turned out to be a child in conflict with the law who had ganged up with 05 accomplices. It has been said to commit thefts by planning thefts in heard houses and rural banks in the area. The Kapu police have seized the iron hammer and hammer used for the theft in Gramin Bank Kapu from the delinquent boy. The child struggling with the law has been presented in the Juvenile Court, Raigarh, and sent to the Child Communication Home, in the case of Nakbajni of Thana Kapu. Raids are being conducted by a joint team of Thana Kapu, Dharamjaygarh and Lailunga staff to nab the absconding accused of the gang.
