HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar and BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Tuesday took to Twitter to target each other on giving respect to women.
The issue cropped up after Bandi tweeted questioning the welfare of women under Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. “The governor will not get respect; No help for women, use of police force on tribal women, will embrace those who insult Bathukamma but will use full force for the daughter of the house. Is this women welfare,” he questioned on his Twitter handle.
Reacting to this, Kavita said that women have arrived; Now the address of the prisoner Sanjay will be missed. Hitting out at Sanjay for criticizing Women’s Welfare Day, Kavita said that a tribal woman speaker was not honored at the inauguration ceremony of the new parliament building. Women wrestlers, who have been agitating day and night against harassment in the national capital, may have been dragged; No action was taken against the guilty BJP MP
The BRS leader alleged that the ‘Beti Bachao…Beti Padhao’ slogan of BJP leaders was limited to mere slogans. “Cylinder prices have been hiked wildly and women are crying in the kitchen. Complete neglect of education and healthcare for women. The development of some is more important than the welfare of the girl child,” Kavita said in her tweet.
