Patna (IANS) | The District Magistrate of Bihar’s Saran district has banned all government employees from wearing jeans in the office. Employees have also been asked to wear identity cards around their necks so that they can be easily identified. They have been asked to wear formal attire and be in the offices during working hours from 10 am to 4 pm.
The idea of the initiative is to change the work culture in offices.
The District Magistrate said that he would do surprise inspection of the particular departments and may also do video conferencing or video calling to know the status of the instructions. He warned the employees to strictly follow the new guidelines, especially the dress code, and said violators would be punished.
