Bakrid, Mugurtha Day: 1,608 additional buses

Tamil Nadu : 1,608 additional special buses have been announced to operate on the occasion of Bakrid, Mukurthum and weekends.

A press release issued by the government Rapid Transport Corporation in this regard:

Additional special buses have been planned to operate from Chennai and other places on Friday (June 6), Mukurthum Day and Bakrid festival, which is a weekend holiday on Saturday and Sunday (June 7 and 8).

Accordingly, 520 buses will operate from Kalampakkam in Chennai to Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur on Friday and 550 buses on Saturday.

Similarly, 100 buses will operate from Koyambedu in Chennai to Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur and Bengaluru on Friday and 90 buses on Saturday. In addition, a total of 1,608 additional special buses are planned to be operated from Madhavaram, including 24 buses each on Friday and Saturday and 300 buses to various destinations from Bengaluru, Tiruppur, Erode and Coimbatore. In addition, special buses are planned to be operated from all places on Sunday to facilitate the return of people from their hometowns in Chennai and Bengaluru as per the needs of the passengers. Therefore, it is informed that passengers can travel by making reservations.
