Raigarh. Villagers have blocked the road in Khamharia of the district. This is the second time a protest is being held to get the bad road repaired. Earlier, when the villagers staged a sit-in protest, the administration had assured to build the road after October 15, but till now the road repair work could not start.
From 11 am on Wednesday, villagers of Khamharia, Pelma, Urba, Jarhidih, Kodkel, Sarasmal, Banjikhol and Bajramuda of Tamnar block started reaching near Khamharia weekly market. After this, they blocked the road here.
Gradually, more than 100 people reached the protest site and started expressing their protest. The 12 km road from Karadipa to Milupara is in very bad condition and every day 10 to 12 villagers travel through this road. Due to which they have to face a lot of problems. It has now become difficult to even walk on the road.
