Baba Siddiqui murder case: Shubham Lonkar still missing

Maharashtra: Shubham Lonkar, the suspected accused in the murder of Baba Siddiqui, which shook the whole of Maharashtra, is still absconding. Even though he was arrested from his brother Praveen Lonkar’s house, Mumbai Police has set up 15 teams to search for all three Shubham Lonkar, Shiva Gautam and Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar. Meanwhile, a lookout notice has been issued for Shubham Lonkar. ANI has reported in this regard. Among the shooters, Dharmaraj Kashyap and Gurmel Singh were arrested from the spot. Along with this, Praveen Lonkar, who helped them, was also arrested by the Crime Branch from Pune. In this case, along with shooter Shiv Kumar alias Shiva Gautam, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, who helped the accused, and Shubham Lonkar, who was involved in the conspiracy, are being searched and 15 teams have been set up by the Mumbai Police to catch them.

After the firing incident on Saturday night, October 12, a Facebook post was shared on the Shubu Lonkar Maharashtra Facebook page taking responsibility for the murder. After that the police was looking for him. It was told that Shubu is Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar of Akot in Akola district. The police was investigating in this regard. During this investigation, the police entered his house in Akot. However, the house was locked. On questioning the neighbors, the police got information that both the brothers were living in Pune. After this, the police raided his house in Pune. At that time they came to know that Shubham Lonkar was absconding. The police also arrested his brother Praveen Lonkar. Both of them were involved in the conspiracy to kill Baba Siddiqui.
The police is now looking for Shubham Lonkar. Also, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar was also not in Mumbai on the day of the attack. But he was in contact with the accused through mobile phone, the accused have told in the investigation. This notice issued by the investigating agencies is used in relation to absconding persons. This notice is issued to obtain information about where a person wanted by the police goes abroad. It can be used in connection with immigration checks at international borders. Through this notice, the investigating agency or the police takes caution to ensure that the absconding person does not flee abroad.
