Amaravati: The accused in the sensational murder case of a boy in Anantapur district has retaliated against the police. The accused was injured in the firing by the police. Sarvesh Kumar killed his seven-year-old brother-in-law yesterday in the hills near Kona Uppalapadu in Yadi Mandal in the district.
When the parents suspected that the boy was missing, the police caught him and found the boy’s whereabouts. The parents lamented when the boy was found dead among the rocks in the hills. Meanwhile, when the accused was taken to the hill area on Friday for scene reconstruction, he attacked the police with an empty beer bottle lying there.
CI Ramasubbayya and Constable Venkatesh were injured in the attack. The accused was injured when the police opened fire on his knees as he was attacking the police. The police rushed the three to a local hospital. The injured policemen are being treated at the Anantapur District Hospital. Meanwhile, District SP Jagadish visited the policemen undergoing treatment.
