Ludhiana: About two years ago, thieves stole Rs 2.9 lakh from an ATM machine at an SBI branch near Bharat Nagar Chowk. They used a sophisticated technique to steal money from the ATM. However, a case was registered in this regard on Friday. When the bank manager came to know about the theft, he tried to register a case, but it took more than two and a half years for the police to register a case against the unknown miscreants. The manager finally approached the court, which ordered the police to register a case in the matter. The police have now started investigating the case and further investigation will be conducted by Balwinder Kaur, head of police station division 8.
