Bhanjanagar: Prasanna Kumar Swain, the Assistant Engineer (Civil), Irrigation Division in Bhanjanagar, Ganjam district has reportedly been placed under arrest by Odisha Vigilance in Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
As per reports, based on searches conducted on properties of Prasannna Kumar Swain, Asst Engineer (civil) he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 6 Multi Storeyed Buildings of which 1 Four Storeyed palatial building worth approximately Rs.2.4 Crore and another 1 Four Storeyed palatial building worth approximately Rs 2.3 crore, 5 High value homested plots, deposits over Rs.23.94 Lakhs, Gold approximately 200 grams, etc, which he could not explain satisfactorily.
Following this Swain has been placed under arrest and will be forwarded to the Court today.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS Case No. 18 /2024 has been registered against Swain, Asst. Engineer (civil), Irrigation Division, Bhanjanagar, Ganjam.
