Jamugurighat: In an incident that sent shock waves among the locals, an unidentified body was recovered near Jamugurighat town in the state. The incident took place in Khonamukh area of Newarbasti, near Jamugurihat town. On Friday, local residents saw a dead body in the locality. An unidentified body was found thrown in a field near the road. Meanwhile, the local people informed the local police shortly after the body was found inside. As soon as the news of the incident was received, the local police reached the spot and took the body into custody. They are trying to determine the identity of the victim. Besides, investigation into the matter has also been started. Wait until local police are able to provide the victim’s identity so that the cause of the person’s death can be determined before bringing those responsible to justice. Recently, a huge sensation spread when the dead body of a minor was found in Western Karbi Anglong district of Assam state. In an incident that attracted attention in the region, the body of a Class VII student was recovered in West Karbi Anglong district. The incident took place in Jengkro village of the district, where villagers recovered the body of a minor under mysterious circumstances behind a house. He told that the incident happened when no one was in the house. It is noteworthy that five years before this incident, this minor was raped by a young man named Baburam Enghi. He comes out of jail for about a week. A police team from Kheroni Commissionerate reached the spot, recovered the body and started investigating the case.
