Assam Rifles organized a massive Veterans Day program giving priority to the well-being and support of veterans at Assam Rifles Garrison at Lokhra under Sonitpur district of Assam on 23 March. The program provided a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of veterans. , Intensive medical check-up was conducted to ensure good health of the senior officers. There were information kiosks where they could access benefits, rights and reintegration support. A grievance redressal cell was also set up, allowing these veterans to express their concerns for quick resolution. The Rifle Soldiers also reaffirmed their continued commitment to support those who have served and sacrificed for the nation. He praised the brave women by honoring them for their resilience and sacrifice. On the other hand, aid and assistance were given to disabled veterans as a sign of good hope. A bank help desk was also made available to provide financial guidance, ensuring that these veterans could easily access essential banking services and resources. 128 veterans, 26 widows and 04 brave women benefited from this state defense programme. This event truly exemplifies the overall dedication of Assam Rifles towards the veterans.
