Assam: Annual day of Chatiya Junior College held in Jamugurihat

Jamugurihat: The annual day of Chatiya Junior College was celebrated on Saturday under the chairmanship of Management Committee Chairman Jiban Sarma. The day’s program began with the lighting of the lamp by Malabika Bhuiyan Barua, followed by chorus interpretation by the school students. On the annual day convened by the student union as part of the closing ceremony of the school week, the winner of the youth award, Sahitya Akademi, was attended by the nominated speaker Anjan Baskota. While guiding the students, Baskota asked them to engage in creative work instead of spending several hours of the day in boring conversations or browsing social networks. He made a humble appeal to the students to get closer to nature and society and learn through first-hand experience rather than maintaining memories of contact with family and loved ones. The open session was inaugurated by Malabika Bhuiyan Barua, after which Student Union President Narayan Khativora delivered the welcome address. Chaitiya Junior Director Deepali Bora took the annual report of the university, followed by the presentation of the annual report by Rishav Gautam, General Secretary of the Student Union.
