New Delhi. Ashutosh Ranka, Co-convenor of the Cockroach Janata Party, has raised questions regarding the government and the system concerning issues faced by the tribal community. He stated that the country’s tribal society shares a deep bond with water, forests, and land, and their rights must be prioritized. He expressed concern over the state of education, healthcare, employment, and infrastructure in tribal areas.
Ashutosh Ranka remarked that the tribal community comprises the indigenous people of the country, and their rights over natural resources should not be overlooked. He noted that even decades after independence, people in many tribal areas continue to struggle for basic amenities.
Questioning the education system in tribal regions, he emphasized the need to pay attention to the type of schools children there are forced to attend. He pointed out the lack of quality educational institutions in many areas, which causes children to face difficulties in pursuing further education.
Ranka also addressed the issue of healthcare facilities, stating that the condition of hospitals and medical services in many tribal areas is a cause for concern. People living in remote areas have to travel long distances for medical treatment. He stressed the need to strengthen healthcare services.
He also shared his views on the issue of employment. Ashutosh Ranka stated that there are insufficient employment opportunities in tribal areas. Many families face financial hardships due to a lack of means of livelihood. He advocated for efforts to increase employment opportunities at the local level.
