Aseem Rai murder case, the one who supplied pistol to the shooter also arrested

Kanker. The shooter who killed BJP District Vice President Aseem Rai has finally been caught by the police. Kanker police arrested shooter Vikas Talukdar from Chandrapur, Maharashtra and presented him before the press today.

BJP District Vice President Asim Rai was shot dead in Pakhanjoor on the night of 7 January. In the case, the police had arrested 12 accused including Pakhanjur Municipality President Bappa Ganguly along with Councilor Vikas Pal. In the same case, the police succeeded in tracking and arresting the absconding shooter Vikas Majumdar from Chandrapur in Maharashtra.

On the behest of Vikas, the police recovered the 7.65 mm pistol, 2 magazines and 8 rounds used in the murder case from Gopi Das’s house in Paravat. Whereas Sonu Sahu, the accused who supplied pistol to shooter Vikas Talukdar, was arrested from Dantewada. Two pistols, 2 magazines and 30 rounds kept for illegal sale were recovered from his possession.
