Asaduddin Owaisi reached Supreme Court against CAA

New Delhi. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also reached the Supreme Court against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He has said in his petition that the amended law is against the basic spirit of the Constitution. This violates Articles 14, 25 and 21, therefore, till the hearing takes place, the implementation of this law should be stopped. Asaduddin Owaisi has been calling CAA a conspiracy against Muslims. He says that this law is discriminatory.

Let us tell you that many petitions demanding a ban on CAA have reached the Supreme Court. The court has also agreed to hear these petitions and has given the date of March 19. Let us tell you that since 2019, about two hundred petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court on which hearing is pending. The Citizenship Amendment Bill was passed by the Parliament in 2019 itself. However, it has now been implemented by the Central Government.
