Arvind Netam praised the campaigns of RSS

Raipur/Nagpur. Along with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, former Congress leader Arvind Netam paid floral tribute to the statue of Sangh founder Hedgewar at Reshimbagh. Addressing the volunteers, he said that no state government has taken the issue of conversion seriously so far. He said, “I think RSS is the only organization that can help us in this area.” Netam said that RSS should put pressure on the central government to make an action plan after Naxalism ends, so that this problem does not arise again.
Netam said that no government implemented the Panchayat (Extension to Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996 or PESA. He said, “The central government is silent and is even helping the industrialists.” The purpose of the PESA Act is to ensure self-governance in tribal areas through gram sabhas, empower them to manage resources and take decisions related to their communities. Earlier, Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said that the mutual understanding seen in the political class after the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the subsequent action taken by India should continue and become a permanent feature. The closing ceremony of the ‘Karyakarta Vikas Varg’ organized for the volunteers was held at the Sangh headquarters, Rishmabag. 840 volunteers from all over the country participated in the 25-day training camp.
