Arunachal: Raid on resort in Lower Dibang Valley

Arunachal Pradesh: Police in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Dibang Valley district launched a major operation late last night against an alleged illegal prostitution ring. The operation took place at a resort in the Roing area, where police conducted a surprise raid and detained several individuals and rescued four women.

According to reports, the raid took place at the Lego Resort in the Meka area on Sunday night. Police had previously received numerous complaints and intelligence regarding illegal activities at the site. Based on these reports, the police planned and executed the operation.

The operation was led by the station’s Officer-in-Charge, under the leadership of a special police team. The team’s surprise raid at night at the resort created panic among those present.

During the raid, police safely rescued four women who were brought from Assam’s Tinsukia district. Preliminary investigations revealed that these women were allegedly being lured into illegal activities. The police immediately took all the women into custody and took them to the Roing police station, where they are being questioned and counseled.

The police have detained several people associated with the resort in connection with this case. They are interrogating them to determine who is behind this entire network and how it was operated.

According to officials, this action was taken after years of suspicious activity and local complaints. Police suspect that this is not a limited incident, but rather an organized network that brings people from various states and involves them in illegal activities.

The police stated that a thorough investigation has been launched into the entire case and further links are being established based on the interrogation of those detained. They are also investigating whether this network has links to other states or larger gangs.

Following this action, the local administration has also increased vigilance in the area. Officials say they are closely monitoring such cases and will not tolerate any illegal activities.

The incident has sparked widespread discussion in the area, and the police action is being seen as a major success, as four women were rescued in time.
