ZIRO/YAZALI: In a major push to bring essential public services directly to the people, the Lower Subansiri district administration conducted a comprehensive ‘jan kalyan shivir (people’s welfare camp)’ in Hari here.
Part of a statewide celebration marking ’12 years of trust, development & public welfare’, the event was held at the Government Secondary School in Hari.
Modelled after the highly successful Seva Aapke Dwar initiative, the camp was designed to cut through bureaucratic red tape. Instead of citizens travelling to distant government offices, heads of various departments set up dedicated help desks on-site to provide immediate services, information, and on-the-spot enrolment.
The camp placed special emphasis on supporting local agriculture through natural farming awareness, alongside a major drive that enrolled residents in central government welfare schemes.
Attending the camp, Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme said that all departments concerned were directed to ensure active participation, set up responsive registration desks, and deliver the required services and information directly to the residents.
Residents who attended the camp gained direct access to registration and support for several programmes, including healthcare security through Ayushman Bharat and Ayushman Vay Vandana medical coverage, clean energy guidance for the PM Surya Ghar solar initiative, and financial empowerment resources via PM SVANidhi and Lakhpati Didi.
The attendees also received direct access to natural farming resources and miscellaneous state-sponsored welfare benefits.
The district administration expressed gratitude to the residents of Hari and surrounding villages who visited the camp, engaged directly with officials, and took full advantage of the services provided.
Meanwhile, in Keyi Panyor district, government services came directly to the doorsteps of local families as the district administration hosted a jan kalyan shivir at the Yazali school auditorium.
The event was designed around making life easier for everyday citizens by cutting through bureaucratic red tape.
Rather than forcing villagers to undertake long, costly journeys to distant government offices, heads of various public departments set up help desks right inside the auditorium. The goal was simple: to chat face-to-face with residents, answer their questions, and provide on-the-spot enrolment for various programmes.
The event focused on empowering local farmers with natural farming techniques and ensuring that eligible families didn’t miss out on essential state and central welfare benefits.
Deputy Commissioner Shweta Nagarkoti emphasised that the entire administrative team was mobilised to ensure that no citizen was left without the support they came for, directing all departments to focus on responsive, compassionate service.
ZPC Nabam Piju, ADC Likha Teji, and Assistant Commissioner Mumne Borang coordinated with local line departments to keep the event running smoothly, systematically, and efficiently for everyone who walked through the doors.
The auditorium buzzed with activity as hundreds of neighbours and families secured vital resources. Many signed up for crucial healthcare security through the Ayushman Bharat and Ayushman Vay Vandana initiatives, while others explored clean energy options like the PM Surya Ghar solar initiative.
The camp also served as a launchpad for local livelihoods, offering direct pathways to financial empowerment through the PM SVANidhi for small vendors and the Lakhpati Didi initiative for women entrepreneurs, alongside various regional farming and welfare benefits.
In Upper Subansiri, the district administrationorganised a jan kalyan shivir at the Government Secondary School in Sippi, with the objective of bringing government welfare schemes and essential services closer to the people.
