Arun Vora reacted on the increase in electricity rates, people are troubled by inflation

Raipur raipur news. The BJP government has increased the electricity rates of industrial and agricultural sectors by about 8.35 percent / 20 paise and 25 paise per unit respectively. Since inflation has increased in every sector in the country, this increase rate will put a lot of burden on the general consumers. Senior Congress Party leader and former MLA Arun Vora has given his reaction on the increase in electricity rates by the state government.

chhattisgarh news Congress leader Arun Vora said that increasing the electricity rate will increase the financial burden in the life of a normal family. Vora said that an increase of 20 paise per unit in the domestic electricity rate means that the household budget of the poor people living below the poverty line will also deteriorate. Because this also increased their electricity bill. That is, the BJP government has refused to give them any relief. Demanding the withdrawal of the increase in electricity rates of the agricultural sector including domestic consumers by the BJP government of the state, he said that this has exposed the anti-people face of the BJP. Vora said that as soon as the elections were over, without any public hearing and public opinion, BJP unilaterally attacked the people of the state, already devastated by inflation.

Comparing with the previous government, Arun Vora said that the former Congress government of Chhattisgarh state had halved the electricity rates from the normal rate. Due to which the consumers of the state did not have to bear any additional burden.

Vora said that farmers have also not been spared in the electricity rate hike. Agricultural pumps have been increased by 25 paise per unit. This will worsen the condition of the farmers. At the same time, the cost of production will also increase. Due to this increase, the per unit electricity tariff has increased from 20 to 70 paise in the new tariff.

Know how much the electricity rate has increased – According to the new rates, for consumption of 0 to 100 units, the rate will be Rs.3.90, for 101 to 200 units the rate will be Rs.4.10, for 201 to 400 units the rate will be Rs.5.50, for 401 to 600 units the rate will be Rs.6.50 and consumers consuming more than 600 units will have to pay Rs.8.10 per unit, that is the BJP government has wreaked havoc on everyone from the poor to the middle class. If any poor person consumes even one unit more than 100 units of electricity, he will have to pay the bill at the rate of Rs.3.90.
