Technology: A poem created by artificial intelligence has caused a stir in the literary world after it was nominated for a prestigious award in a poetry contest. According to a report by Nova, this surprising incident took place in Stara Zagora. When the organisers received the reply, they discovered that not a single word in the acclaimed composition was written by a human. It was a creation conceived entirely by AI. Following this revelation, the mysterious sender, who introduced himself as 21-year-old Hristian Papazov from the village of Nozharevo, Silistra, has not been contacted since.
Milena Zheleva, deputy mayor of Stara Zagora and organiser of the “Veselin Hanchev” contest, reported that the poem that baffled her colleagues was one of the poems submitted. In another twist, attempts to verify the existence of Hristian Papazov with the village’s mayor proved futile, as he too could not confirm that such a person lives there. As a result, the competition may need to rethink its policies in the face of advancing technology. This remarkable event has ignited debate about creativity, authorship, and the emerging role of artificial intelligence in the arts.
