Apple Hikes Up Apple Music Streaming, Apple One Prices In U.S., More countries
Apple today announced that prices have increased for its Apple Music streaming service and several of its Apple One subscription bundles in the U.S. And several other countries.
The price change went into effect immediately.
This is the first price hike Apple has made for its music streaming service since 2022. Apple cited licensing cost increases as the reason for the new pricing.
Apple states the change “allows us to ensure that artists and rights holders continue to be compensated fairly.”
Streaming services are already contending with increasing licensing costs of their own.
What’s changing?
Apple Music Individual: ₹1,155/month (previously ₹1,059/month)
Apple Music Student: ₹674/month (previously ₹578/month)
Apple Music Family: ₹1,926/month (previously ₹1,637/month)
Apple One Family: ₹2,692/month (up by ₹193)
Apple One Premier: ₹3,847/month (up by ₹193)
Apple One Individual: No price change
Apple joins a slew of other major music streaming services that have seen subscription price increases in the last few years, which have accompanied an overall rise in costs to do business.
New customers are already seeing the new pricing, and current customers will see it on their next billing cycle.
