Raipur: Three people have been murdered within 24 hours in the capital Raipur. The latest case is from Purani Basti police station area. Where on Tuesday night around 10:30 pm, after a dispute over money, a young man killed his own friend by hitting him with a shovel. After this, he sat near his dead body.
According to the information, Santosh Kumar (40 years) and Nohar Manikpuri (23 years), who work as laborers in Vinayak City, lived together. On Tuesday night, after having dinner, both of them sat together and drank alcohol. During this, a heated argument broke out between the two about money.
During the argument, Santosh taunted Nohar and said, ‘Send some of your earnings home too’. This thing hurt Nohar. After this, abuse and scuffle started between the two. Meanwhile, Nohar strangled Santosh and hit his head several times with a shovel lying nearby.
In this attack, Santosh’s head was torn apart and he died on the spot. When the nearby workers reached the spot after hearing the noise, Nohar was sitting near the dead body of his friend Santosh. After this, the police was informed about the whole matter.
After reaching the spot, the Purani Basti police team has taken the accused into custody. During interrogation, it was found that both the workers lived alone here. The police has sent the dead body to the hospital for postmortem.
