New Delhi: Another Hindu was allegedly attacked in Bangladesh. He was allegedly set on fire when he was returning home after closing his medicine shop.
The attack on Khokon Das, a 50-year-old Hindu businessman reportedly took place in Bangladesh’s Shariatpur district. He was returning home after closing his medicine store when a group of miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons, doused him with petrol, and set him on fire.
Das managed to jump into a nearby pond to escape the flames and was later rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. His condition is critical, with severe burn injuries on his face, head, and hands.
This incident marks the fourth reported attack on a Hindu in Bangladesh in just two weeks, raising concerns about minority safety and diplomatic tensions between India and Bangladesh.
