Pakistan: Security-related discussions have intensified in India regarding the significant joint defense agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye. Former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan stated on Saturday that such agreements could breed overconfidence in Pakistan, potentially leading it to make miscalculations in the future.
While delivering a lecture on the topic “Threats and Challenges to India’s Security” at an event held at the Teen Murti Bhavan complex in New Delhi, General Anil Chauhan shared his views on the regional security situation. He remarked that Pakistan would continue to remain a major security concern and threat to India in the foreseeable future.
Persistent Security Concerns Regarding Pakistan
Former CDS Anil Chauhan emphasized that India must maintain constant vigilance over the activities of its neighbor, Pakistan. He noted that, given Pakistan’s strategic mindset and security policies, it would remain a challenge for India for a long time.
