Rajamahendravaram: The Municipal Colony Cricket Premier League (MCCPL) Season-25 Silver Jubilee Grand Finale was held in a grand manner in the municipal colony sports ground here on Sunday.
The 45-day tournament featured eight teams and 130 players. NS Kings emerged as the champions, while Raja Warriors finished runners-up. Organisers and chief guests presented prizes to the winners and runners-up teams.
Congress Parliamentary Coordinator T.K. Visweswara Reddy congratulated the organisers on successfully completing 25 seasons and celebrating the Silver Jubilee. He appreciated the efforts of the main organisers Ravi, Uma, Pata Sai for conducting the tournament successfully.
Urban District Congress president Balepalli Murali said everyone should take part in sports to maintain good health. He said sports help develop discipline, self-confidence and skills, and stressed the need to encourage talented sportspersons.
APCC Sports chairman Kamalakar, cricketers and prominent persons from various fields attended the programme.
