VIJAYAWADA. Vijayawada: The Chandrababu Naidu government will soon come out with a new IT policy to attract the IT industry to Andhra Pradesh, IT Minister Nara Lokesh said. He made the announcement while holding a review meeting with officials of the Information Technology (IT) and Electronics Department on Saturday. Lokesh asked the officials to submit details about the incentives to be given to attract new IT and electronics companies to the state. He asked if the state government should get any incentives which have not been given to IT companies by the previous government.
The minister asked the officials to prepare a plan to make Visakhapatnam an IT hub and Tirupati an electronics hub. “After this, we will invite all the big companies known in the IT and electronics sector to invest in the state,” he said. The meeting was attended by Secretary (IT and Electronics) Kona Sasidhar, Special Secretary B. Sundar, AP Technology Services Managing Director M. Ramana Reddy, AP Innovation Society CEO T. Anil Kumar and RTGS Director Cherukuwada Sriram.
