Andhra Pradesh: 2.44 lakh beneficiaries will get pension on July 1

Rajamahendravaram: District Collector Prashanthi held detailed discussions with officials on the plan to distribute NTR Bharosa pensions to 2,44,302 beneficiaries across the district at their homes on July 1. She gave guidelines on pension distribution, proactive preventive measures on seasonal diseases and effective supply of clean drinking water in a meeting held with divisional, mandal and municipal level officials at the conference hall of the Collector Camp Office on Friday. Officials have been asked to be ready with an action plan in advance to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases. To distribute pensions on July 1, Mandal Development Officers and Municipal Commissioners have been ordered to take steps to withdraw cash from banks on June 29 and make cash payments from 5 am on July 1. She said 2,44,302 pension beneficiaries have been identified in 9,552 clusters in the district. Prashanthi said the beneficiaries would be linked with CFMS-certified government employees. The concerned staff will pay the pension amount to the beneficiaries by going door to door from 5 am on July 1. He asked the staff to make the payment through Aadhaar based, biometric and iris identification system and take receipt from the beneficiary. He directed the staff to create awareness about the use of biometric iris device. Joint Collector N Bharat Tej and officials of various departments participated.
