Anakapalli: As part of the ‘World Population Day’ programme to be held on July 11th, District Collector Vijaya Krishnan unveiled posters and banners here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijaya Krishnan directed medical and health department officers to organise rallies and awareness meetings at all Primary Health Centres (PHC) and Sub-Centre levels in the district from July 11th to 18th.
The Collector underlined that these programmes should be made successful with the slogan: ‘Let’s follow the right interval between children – Let’s build a healthy and happy family’.
The Collector asked couples to be aware of family planning methods and instructed officials to create awareness at the field level about safe methods available, including oral contraceptive pills, PPIUCD, among others.
