Nellore: State Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy is making concerted efforts to transform the Atmakur constituency into an educational hub by establishing reputed educational and technical training institutions.
The initiative aims to provide rural youth with quality education, skill development, and enhanced employment prospects.
As part of this roadmap, Minister Anam has drawn up plans to utilize infrastructure worth over Rs 100 crore at Tarunavayee village in Sangam mandal, located near the national highway.
Constructed earlier with support from the Lagadapati Foundation, the facility will now house a government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), residential educational institutions, and specialized technical training centers.
Responding to Minister Anam’s call, the Aditya Birla Group has agreed to extend Rs 5 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for the development of Sangam ITI. The group will construct a new, fully equipped building block to enhance the institution’s capacity.
On Saturday, Aditya Birla Group representatives Arun Singh and Jayadev visited Tarunavayee to inspect existing structures, land availability, and infrastructure scope.
Subsequently, they met District Collector Himanshu Shukla in Nellore to confirm their readiness to provide the Rs 5-crore CSR grant.
Officials from the engineering and revenue departments, ITI principals, and representatives from the Minister’s office accompanied the visiting delegation during the inspection and formal discussions.
