Andhra Pradesh : Dr. Gullapalli Nageswara Rao, founder president of L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, said that they are providing advanced eye care services to the people with world-class facilities. Gullapalli Nageswara Rao was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Rotary Club of Vijayawada at a hotel on MG Road in Vijayawada on Monday night. Speaking on the occasion, he said that he has returned to India with the aim of providing advanced medical services available in the US to the people of the country. He said that they have already established 310 eye care institutes in various parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha and are currently moving ahead with the aim of expanding across the country. He said that they are running such eye banks here which are not even in developed countries. He said that he feels that the Rotary Lifetime Achievement Award is not for him alone but for all the people working in his organisation. Rotary Club of Vijayawada president V. Sridevi, secretary S. Ravi Prakash, former Rotary District Governor Dr. MC Das, Dr. Pattabhiramaiah, Dr. Mohan Prasad, Dr. V. Leela Prasad and others participated.
