An elephant trampled a villager who had come to see the crop

Mahasamund. In village Keshava of Mahasamund forest range, a tusker elephant crushed to death Meghraj Chandrakar, 39 years old, resident of Keshava, who had gone to see his farm. Due to this, there is mourning in the village along with the family of the deceased. Mahasamund forest range officer Siyaram Karmakar said that a tusker elephant, Tusker ME 3, has come to Mahasamund range from Gariaband for the last one week and is roaming in the surrounding forests.

The deceased Meghraj Chandrakar had gone to see his farm this morning like every day. Then suddenly the elephant came and crushed Meghraj. The family of the deceased has been given immediate financial assistance of 25 thousand. The remaining 5 lakh 75 thousand rupees will be given to the family of the deceased after the approval of the case.

It is worth noting that from the year 2016 till now, about 29 people have died due to elephant crushing. The elephant is currently roaming in compartment number 79 of Keshava hill and an alert has been issued in the surrounding villages.
