An artist from Chhattisgarh won a meritorious award while pursuing PhD in cinema

Arjuni. Nikhil Tiwari, a well-known artist and art teacher hailing from Arjuni village under Balodabazar development block, has gained national reputation for his dedication to art and education as the head of the School of Fine Arts at AAFT University, Math, Kharora. Recently, he guided his students in the painting competition organized on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of RBI, in which his student Chetna Ganjir’s masterpiece was selected for the final round. This success of Chetna and the hard work of Nikhil Tiwari brought the university a Meritorious Award, under which AAFT University has been included in the top 15 art educational institutions of the country.

Under this prestigious win, Chetna Ganjir will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, and the university received a computer desktop as a prize. Let us tell you that Nikhil Tiwari has been inclined towards art since childhood. He received his early education from Saraswati Shishu Mandir Arjuni and higher secondary education from Ambuja Vidya Peeth, Rawan and completed his graduation and post graduation in painting with gold medal from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh. Currently, he is pursuing PhD in Cinema from AAFT University.

With his passion and dedication towards art, Nikhil Tiwari aims to inspire more and more people towards creative fields. He believes that “learning art means learning life.” This achievement of his is not only his personal success but also a symbol of his dedication towards art and his commitment towards teaching, which has given recognition to his university at the national level.
