Raipur. Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan transferred an amount of Rs 48.82 crore online through DBT directly into the accounts of 66 thousand 952 Shramveers and their family members of the state at his residence office in Shankar Nagar, Raipur this morning. Labor Minister Devangan said that in Vishnudev’s government, the workers of the state and their family members are continuously getting the benefits of the schemes rapidly. The schemes are being successfully implemented through the three divisions of the Labor Department, Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Board, Organized Workers State Social Security Board and Labor Welfare Board. As a result of this, from January to November 2024, Rs 334.28 crore has been transferred to 46.59 lakh workers through various schemes. The Labor Minister said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai invited the country’s leading industrialists and investors to invest in Chhattisgarh at the Investors Connect Meet held yesterday in New Delhi. The Labor Minister said that from 01 January 2024 to 23 December 2024, Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has distributed more than 252 crores to a total of 10 lakh 88 thousand workers and today on 24 December, more than 37 crores is being distributed to 59 thousand 738 workers. From 01 January 2024 to 23 December 2024, more than 75 crores was distributed to a total of 43 thousand 703 workers by the Unorganized Workers Board and today on 24 December, more than 7 crore 90 lakhs is being distributed to 5165 workers. Under the Chief Minister Construction Workers Free Card Scheme, Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has provided free registration cards to a total of 3 lakh 88 thousand 238 construction workers. Minister Dewangan said that from 01 January 2024 to 23 December 2024, a total of more than 2 crore 38 lakhs was distributed to 4 thousand 916 workers by Chhattisgarh Labor Welfare Board. Today, on 24 December, an amount of more than 1 crore 01 lakh is being distributed to 2 thousand 49 workers. Thus, today 48 crore 82 lakh rupees are being released to 66 thousand 952 workers. Thus, from 01 January 2024 to 24 December, out of the workers registered in the three boards, more than 375 crores have been distributed to more than 12 lakh 4 thousand workers.
Department officials said that under Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, 27 lakh 72 thousand workers, Unorganized Workers Board 18 lakh 47 thousand, Chhattisgarh Labor Welfare Board 5 lakh 10 thousand, thus the total registered beneficiary workers are more than 51 lakh 29 thousand. During the welcome speech, Secretary Labor Alarmel Mangai said that several schemes are being run for the welfare of workers in the state. Workers and their families are getting the benefit of these. Provision of scholarship has been made for the education of the children of registered workers. Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Annapurna Anna Yojana is being run to provide food to workers at affordable rates.
