Amritsar: On Friday, a video of a man and a woman allegedly in a drunken state near the local bus stand went viral on social media. The police admitted them to a de-addiction centre. Both of them confessed that they were drug addicts and used to consume medicines.
They said that now they want to undergo treatment. Assistant Commissioner of Police (East) Gurinderbir Singh Sidhu said that the Rambagh police have counselled the two to undergo treatment at a de-addiction centre where efforts will be made to rehabilitate them. He said that earlier also efforts were made to make them quit drugs but to no avail.
