An Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) constable paid a heavy price for seeking help from three men who snatched his licensed revolver on Friday.
Kanwarpal Singh, resident of Ghanupur Chheharta, Amritsar, was returning home from Suring village on Friday night. He met with an accident when his car collided with a road divider. He suffered head injuries in the incident. When he stopped on the road near Gaggobua village, three people riding a bike reached the spot and helped him. Kanwarpal had kept his license recovery in the dash board of the car. After some time he left for home. When Kanwarpal reached home, he found his revolver missing from the dashboard of his car.
In his statement to the Chabal police, Kanwarpal said that three unknown people who helped him snatched his revolver. The police registered a case in this regard on Saturday under sections 379 and 34 of the IPC.
