Mumbai (IANS) | Actress Amrita Rao, who has worked in films like ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Ishq Vishk’, ‘Jolly LLB’ and ‘Thackeray’, has shared a shocking revelation about her marriage with husband RJ Anmol. On the anniversary special episode of Couple of Things, the couple took their fans down memory lane from Mumbai to Pune, the city where they secretly married nine years ago at a famous ISKCON temple in Katraj.
The couple revealed that they spent only Rs 1,50,000 on their wedding which included their wedding outfits, venue, travel and other expenses.
The ‘Vivah’ fame actress specifically insisted that she and Anmol wanted to wear traditional clothes for their special occasion instead of wearing designer clothes. She bought a traditional dress worth Rs 3,000 only. The venue of the wedding was fixed for just Rs 11,000.
Amrita Rao shared, We always believed that marriages should be about love, not wealth and appearances. We wanted our wedding to take place in the presence of only our close families and close friends.
RJ Anmol said, “Our wedding was a reflection of our personalities, and we wanted to keep it humble. We would be happy if this inspires people to opt for budget friendly weddings as well.
