Surguja. Surguja Collector has ordered to organize a special Gram Sabha in 126 villages and 199 settlements of Gram Panchayats of the district on 8th and 9th February 2024 to provide benefits of all the schemes run by the government to the Hill Korvas under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana.
It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh Panchayat Provisions (Extension to Scheduled Areas) read with Rules 2022. This order has been issued in exercise of the powers granted in clause (b) of Section 129 (a) of the Panchayat State Act 1993. Chhattisgarh Under Section 129 (b) (3) of the Panchayat Raj Act 1993, it will be the responsibility of the Panch Sarpanch and Secretary to ensure quorum in the Gram Sabha.
