Business: To help Indian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) access global markets, the Indian Small and Medium Enterprises Forum (ISF) has launched a new initiative to support exports in just eight weeks. The programme titled ‘Start Exporting in 8 Weeks’ aims to promote ‘Made in India’ products in collaboration with e-commerce export leaders such as Amazon.
Minister of Labour, Employment and MSMEs Shobha Karandraje said that SMEs have a vital role in contributing to the vision of a developed India in the year 2047. This is critical for the success of small and medium-sized businesses. Speaking at the ceremony, the External Affairs Minister said: In today’s competitive landscape, upskilling and upskilling is very important and it is important that our products meet international export quality standards.
Through platforms such as the SME India Forum and new initiatives launched today with partners such as Amazon and UPS, our entrepreneurs will connect with global markets and open new avenues for growth and collaboration. Let us make the most of these opportunities and continue to strive for global excellence.
The programme provides comprehensive mentoring, resources and networking opportunities at no cost to MSMEs wishing to explore international market opportunities and expand their reach. Vinod Kumar, President, Small and Medium Enterprises Association of India, said, “E-commerce has become a game-changer by breaking down traditional business barriers and making it easier for even the smallest businesses to reach customers abroad.” “By leveraging digital platforms, SMEs can avoid many logistical challenges of traditional exports and make global trade more accessible than ever,” Kumar added.
The “Start Exporting in 8 Weeks” initiative is a step towards transforming Indian SMEs into a global economic hub.
