Apart from taking stock of the situation, basic facilities are being provided to the people in the areas affected by the cyclonic storm “Biparjoy” in the district.
The administration is taking stock of the damage by surveying the affected areas of the district, as well as draining water from the waterlogged areas by the constituted teams, as well as quick disposal of dead animals in the affected areas.
200 families were connected to the main road by repairing the broken road of Padari village.
Chitalwana Sub-Divisional Officer Hanumanaram being present on the spot restored the damaged road of Padari village of Doothwa Gram Panchayat by laying three big pipelines, so that about 200 families could be connected to the main road again. Taking stock of the drainage of water from Kachela village, he gave necessary instructions to the personnel.
Anti-larvae activity is being carried out by the Medical and Health Department to prevent possible seasonal diseases due to water logging in the district due to excessive rains caused by Biparjoy storm.
The concerned departments are working on a war footing to repair the arrangements for electricity and drinking water etc. affected by the “Biparjoy” storm in the district. Electricity supply has been restored in various affected areas by the Electricity Department and work is going on in the remaining areas with promptness. Along with immediate repair of damaged roads by the Public Works Department, work is being done to make the blocked roads smooth.
