Tamil Nadu: All IndiGo flights operating from Chennai were cancelled on Friday.
Following this, IndiGo wrote a letter to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) requesting them not to allow IndiGo passengers entry into Chennai airport.
IndiGo does not have enough pilots to comply with the new, stricter ‘Flight Duty and Rest Rules’ (FTRLs), which have now come into effect for flight crew, especially pilots.
IndiGo’s flight services have been affected for the past few days. On Thursday alone, 95 flights were cancelled in Delhi, 85 in Mumbai, 70 in Hyderabad, and 50 in Bengaluru.
Similarly, most IndiGo flights operating from cities like Chennai and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu were cancelled on Thursday.
In this situation, 65 IndiGo flights to and from Chennai airport have been cancelled since midnight on Thursday.
Meanwhile, to control the crowd at the airport, the airline has asked the security forces not to allow IndiGo passengers entry into the terminal.
As a result, airline passengers are facing considerable difficulties as they are being stopped at the entry gates.
