Since the accused Rajesh alias Raju Sahu is involved in illegal liquor trade, an informer was deployed by Police Station in-charge Bhupdevpur Inspector Ramkinkar Yadav to keep an eye on the activities of Rajesh Sahu.
chhattisgarh news Information to the Police Station in-charge that Rajesh alias Raju Sahu is carrying liquor on foot from Kanshichua towards Dumrpali Chowk for illegal sale. The police laid a siege near Usraoth Chowk in the village Dumrapali and arrested the accused Rajesh alias Raju Sahu, father late Saukilal Sahu, age 44 years, resident of Dumrapali, Police Station Bhupdevpur, District Raigarh. 20 quarters of country made plain liquor, 9 pieces of Goa English liquor, 1 bottle number 01 English liquor, 2 pieces of Simbha company’s beer, total country/foreign liquor worth Rs 7.317 lakhs and 4,160 rupees were seized from his possession. Action has been taken against the accused under section 34(2), 59(a) of the Excise Act in Police Station Bhupdevpur. Head constable Shambhu Pandey, constable Vijay Kumar Patel and Bodhram Sardar were involved in the liquor raid action.
