Lucknow: SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday took a dig at the Narendra Modi-led NDA ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, saying that the new government will remain in limbo. In a post on ‘X’, Yadav said, “There is no wire from above, there is no base below. What is hanging in the base is not a ‘government'” which directly means that the fate of the new government is hanging in the balance. Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time as the head of a coalition government at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening. In the last two terms, the BJP had formed the government by securing an absolute majority. But this time it has not got an absolute majority. In such a situation, the role of Telugu Desam Party and Janata Dal United has become decisive in the formation of the government. SP contested the Lok Sabha elections as an alliance partner and has won 37 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
