Ajmer: About 200 people trapped in fake investment scheme of 19-year-old youth

Rajasthan: A 19-year-old youth has been arrested in Ajmer for duping around 200 people of Rs 42 lakh by making them members of a fraudulent investment scheme. A Plus One student, Kashif Mirza, a social media influencer, has been arrested. Police have seized a note counting machine, mobile phones and laptops from the accused.

Mirza had promised that an investment of Rs 99,999 would yield Rs 1,39,999 back. Mirza gave a share of the profit to some of the initial depositors. They were asked to add more people to the investment scheme on the money chain model. They were asked to add people to the investment scheme in the chain model. Police say that Mirza is a superstar on social media and has many followers. Mirza cheated most of the followers he got through social media.
