Tamil Nadu: AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami stated that the AIADMK gives full respect to alliance partners.
While campaigning in support of AIADMK candidate P. Usharani from the Yercaud constituency in Vazhappadi, Salem district, on Tuesday, standing in an open van, he said:
The sale of marijuana and drugs was banned during the AIADMK’s rule. The sale of marijuana and drugs has increased under the DMK’s rule. Despite repeated requests in the Assembly to stop this, this government is hesitant to take action because marijuana is being sold with the DMK’s support. When the AIADMK returns to power, the sale of marijuana will be banned.
The death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has been investigated by Chief Minister Stalin, who stated that there is a mystery behind her death. A newly released audio recording suggests that the late former Chief Minister Karunanidhi was placed under house arrest. This matter will be investigated after the AIADMK comes to power.
The DMK does not respect coalition parties. But the AIADMK is giving them full respect. The AIADMK helped the DMDK like it provided ventilators to people fighting for their lives. But, forgetting this, the party has gone to the DMK alliance.
When the AIADMK comes to power in Tamil Nadu, financial assistance of ₹5 lakh will be provided for the Jallikattu festival, compensation of ₹10 lakh will be given to bullfighters who die, three gas cylinders every year, free bus travel for men, a subsidy of ₹75,000 for auto drivers to purchase autos, pucca housing projects for all the poor will be implemented under the Amma Illam scheme, the 100-day work program will be extended to 150 days, a cooperative training center will be built in Yercaud, a caste-based census will be conducted in Tamil Nadu, and agricultural crop loans will be waived.
He said a project to raise groundwater levels by recharging the Mettur Dam’s surplus water into water bodies such as lakes, ponds, and pools in the area would be implemented. Amma Mini Clinics, closed by the DMK government, would be reopened. The Kudimaramathu Project would be re-implemented.
