New Delhi (IANS) | The body of a Class 12 girl student, who went missing after the CBSE board exam results in Delhi, has been found in a drain in Aman Vihar area. The police gave this information on Sunday. According to media reports, the girl had failed in one subject. After which she left the house on May 12 leaving a suicide note. His body was found lying in the drain on Sunday.
A senior police officer said the family members of the girl lodged a missing complaint at the Aman Vihar police station around 9.30 pm on May 12.
The girl’s father told the police that she was missing since around 3 pm. Police said that the relatives told the police that their daughter had failed in a subject in class 12th. Due to which she was depressed and left the house leaving a suicide note.
Police registered a complaint and formed a team to trace the girl. Along with this, the police also started an intensive search operation.
Apart from this, all other legal steps were taken to trace the girl student by informing the police control room, the police officer said. Wireless messages were sent to all SHOs of Delhi and all DCPs/SSPs of India giving details of the missing girl.
On Sunday, the police received a PCR call regarding the dead body of the girl lying in the drain. Local police personnel immediately reached the spot, found the body partially submerged in the drain.
In a hurry, with the help of the local people, the body was taken out of the drain and taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. Later the student was identified as the missing girl. The girl’s father identified the body.
Police said that after conducting the post-mortem, the dead body was handed over to the relatives.
