Business Business: Hyundai India, India’s second-largest car seller, will export its popular Exeter SUV to South Africa on a limited basis. The company has been exporting cars to South Africa since 2004. This makes the Hyundai Xstar the eighth model to be exported to South Africa. Models delivered to South Africa to date include the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20, i20 N Line, Venue, Venue N Line and Alcazar. According to a report published on the Rush Lane news site, the first export batch of the Hyundai Exeter will consist of 996 cars. The Hyundai Exeter comes with features such as digital driver display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, wireless phone charger, single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control and dual-camera dashcam. As far as safety equipment is concerned, features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and three-point seat belts for all occupants are standard equipment. Features like tyre pressure monitoring system, day/night IRVM, rear view camera and rear fog lamps are also available in the top variants.

When it comes to the engine, there are two engine options for the Hyundai Exeter. The first car is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 83 hp and 114 Nm of torque, with the option of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. At the same time, the second car is powered by a 1.2-litre CNG petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 69 hp and a maximum torque of 95 Nm.
