‘Adipurush’ director kisses Kriti Sanon in Tirupati temple, criticized

Mumbai (IANS) | Om Raut, director of the upcoming film ‘Adipurush’, created a controversy when he kissed Kriti Sanon at the Tirupati Balaji temple. Some people are condemning it. Recently, a video surfaced on the internet, in which the ‘Adipurush’ director is seen kissing Kriti, who plays Sita in his film, at the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati. The head priest of the temple has termed it as a ‘reprehensible act’.

Reportedly, he mentioned that even a husband and wife do not go to the temple together. The director and actress can do this by going to a hotel room.

BJP state secretary in Andhra Pradesh Ramesh Naidu Nagothhu also criticized it in a now-deleted tweet.

He had tweeted, is such an act necessary at a holy place? Public displays of affection, such as kissing and hugging in front of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala, are disrespectful and unacceptable.

Meanwhile, ‘Adipurush’, which is in news mostly for wrong reasons, is all set to hit the theaters on 16th June.
