Adilabad: Police have solved the murder mystery of a government teacher by arresting his wife, her lover and two others. Utnoor DSP Nagendra said Vijayalakshmi, wife of government teacher Gajendra of Nagolkonda in Narnoor, her lover Rathore Mahesh of Thadihanthoor in Narnoor, elder Sushil of Pardhanwada in Bela mandal and Urvetha Krishna, a resident of Bela mandal centre, have been arrested. Gajendra (40) was killed by crushing him with a stone at Arjuni village in Gadiguda mandal on June 12 while he was on his way to work at a school in Mediguda village in Jayanath mandal.

During interrogation, Vijayalakshmi confessed to committing the crime with the help of Mahesh. She hired Sushil, an employee of a fuel station, and Krishna as Gajendra was preventing her from continuing her illicit relationship with Mahesh. She admitted to having struck a deal with Sushil and Krishna for Rs 3 lakh to kill her husband. She said that she was having an affair with Mahesh since 2015. She said that her parents got her married to Gajendra in 2017, after which the couple had a son. However, Vijayalakshmi was still in touch with Mahesh and when Gajendra raised the matter before the elders of his community, he apologized.
