Addition, deletion and correction of names in the voter list can be done from January 6

Sarangarh Bilaigarh. The Election Commission of India has issued a notification for the work of brief revision of electoral rolls with photographs in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Under this, initial publication of voter list format will be done from January 6, 2024. Voters whose names are deleted in this list or want correction or addition can do so from January 6 to January 22, 2024. New voters who complete 18 years of age on January 1, 2024 can also get their names added to the voter list. During this period, voter awareness campaign will be conducted by the district administration including schools and colleges.

It is noteworthy that as per the instructions given by the Commission, the designated officer has been directed to remain compulsorily present in the polling centers during the office hours during the entire period of claim objection in all the polling centres. Instructions have been given to make the information of forms (6,7,8) received during the revision period available in the office of the Electoral Registration Officer or the BLO for digitization in the BLO app.
