Action taken against gambler who played kharkhadiya, arrested

Dhamtari. Legal action has been taken against the gambler who was playing Kharkhadiya near Megha Bus Stand. Magarlod police received information from an informer that a person was playing a game called Kharkhadiya near Megha Bus Stand. On receiving the information, Magarlod police station immediately conducted a raid and found a gambler playing Kharkhadiya in a public place near Megha Bus Stand, taking money from people and betting on win or loss. The people playing Kharkhadiya ran away on seeing the police. The person who was playing Kharkhadiya, gambler Dhannu Ram Sahu was caught.

Rs 3280 cash and Kharkhadiya material were seized from his possession in front of witnesses and legal action was taken under case number 330/24 section 6 (a) of Magarlod police station under Gambling Act and the accused is being sent on judicial remand. In the said action, Police Station Incharge Magarlod Inspector Rajesh Jagat, Sub Inspector Dhani Ram Netam, Inspector Virendra Chandrakar, R. Naveen Tandon, Govinda Dhrtlahare, Narendra Banjare, Kirtan Sonkar, Prafulla Ratre, Ajay Giri made important contributions.
